about us ...
Sadly, in today's society when the nuclear family is depleted, or scattered around the world, there is often no one to turn to when life's problems seem overwhelming. Some look to the government for help, but the government cannot legislate care or community.
In close proximity to where most people live, however, is a church made up of a community of caring individuals who would be willing and available to help if only they knew how . . .
Research amongst UK clergy identified stress as the most common pastoral issue with which they must deal - both personally and in counselling with others. Divorce, bereavement, loneliness, and depression were also high on the list.
Pastors, however, were never intended to handle the care of the community by themselves (see I Corinthians 12, Romans 12 and Ephesians 4). The work of service is the domain of the person in the pew - Perhaps you are that person.
We are a non-denominational Christian organisation that works in partnership with local churches by training and mentoring lay people for ministering on the cutting edge of pastoral care in their local community.
